Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice Recipe

Pumpkin Pie Spice can be easily found in any supermarket especially now we are in pumpkin season! However, this blend of 5 spices is very simple to make yourself at home and there’s a chance you already have most of the ingredients at hand!

This warming spice can be used in a variety of recipes and makes a perfect addition to pumpkin spice lattes, soups, curries and pies. Apart from the legendary flavour, pumpkin pie spice has numerous health benefits listed on the bottom of this post.

To find out how long you can keep the spice in your cupboard, check the expiry dates of the ingredients. Usually, you can use the spices for around 4 years but if you’re anything like me you’ll use the whole jar in one season.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tbs ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp ground allspice
  • 1 tsp grounf nutmeg

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Mix all the spices together.
  2. Store in a dry place.
  3. Enjoy in your favourite dishes!
